One Year Blog Anniversary!

Today is the one year anniversary for this blog. And what a year it's been!

Well, you know... blog anniversaries are supposed to be the signal for all of you readers to comment and let me get to know you a little!

So... firstly I'll be unoriginal and ask you to please comment with your name and location (as general or specific as you wish). Then I'll ask you to share a quote or Bible verse that is meaningful/encouraging to you, if you would, and I may pick a few to share on this blog!

Surely everyone has a favourite... but if you don't, please don't let that stop you from commenting with your name (and where you are from)! :)

"Thou crownest the year with thy goodness..." (Psalm 65:11)

Join me in praising the Lord, for He really has done so!

  3. Thank you for your blog, Marissa! It has been a blessing to me.

A favorite verse is a bit hard to determine, but lately 1 Peter 2:21 (and the following verses) has been on my heart quite a bit:

"For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps. . ."

  4. One year? Well, it's been a good year. :D Congratulations Marissa!

No particular favorite verse, but this one happens to be on my mind today, so: Psalm 17:5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.

And, oh yes, my name is Isaac, and I live in Ontario. :P

Quote..."The only really happy people are those who have learned to serve." ~Albert Schweitzec
    and
"We are called to be women. The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian, but the fact that I am a Christian does make me a different kind of woman. For I have accepted God's idea of me, and my whole life is an offering back to Him of all that I am and all that He wants me to be."

My favorite quote is: "Wherever you are, be all there! Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God." <>< –Jim Elliot

My favorite Bible verse is: My 'life' verse-Philippians 3:14" I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." - I like the whole book of Philippians and also Psalms, Chapter 25

  8. Well, Marissa, you know me well! :-) I'm from WI, and greatly anticipating a possible meeting soon!

Two of my favorite verses are,

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2

They are a reminder to me that our victory in Jesus Christ is already won, no matter how long or hard the battle seems at times. The effort and strain is so worth it! May we keep our eyes on the all-sufficiency of Jesus Christ!

    (Hugs!) Blessings to you, Marissa!
